In this workshop, participants will learn two foundational coaching skills that great leaders embody: empathetic listening and powerful questioning. Mastering these skills will empower your people, create self-sufficiency, and increase motivation and meaning. Ultimately, participants will be able to help others learn vs teaching them and leading as a coach, not a boss.
During this workshop, participants will:
Identify their biggest listening distraction behaviors and high-risk response tendencies
Learn and practice empathetic listening techniques that make the biggest impact
Learn the art of powerful questions and practice defaulting in question-asking vs problem-solving mode
Coach someone through a real-world challenge and get immediate feedback on your listening and powerful questioning coaching skills
Identify their greatest listening growth opportunities, and apply those insights into a personalized action plan for the weeks ahead
What else is included:
There will be an opportunity for all participants to collect anonymous feedback on their listening tendencies from close peers co-workers before the session. This will serve as a foundational input in identifying their highest potential development areas.
